This Superfood will Ease You to Better Health?


The month of February is a special month. Not only do we begin to see more sunshine (yaaa), but it’s also the time of year where we get to put a little extra attention towards our loved ones thanks to Valentine’s Day. For this reason I would like to introduce you to one of the healthiest foods on the planet.

If you are hoping I am going to say chocolate… would be correct!

Chocolate, in it’s raw form, is one of the healthiest foods you could eat. I am not talking about eating a snickers or even dark chocolate. What I am talking about is the raw cacao bean that is 100% the real deal.

The raw cacao bean contains one of the highest sources of antioxidants on the planet. Which is the primary way you protect yourself from free radicals that cause disease and weaken your performance if you are an athlete. It is also an amazing source of iron, magnesium, vitamin C & fibre.

Not only is raw chocolate great for boosting your mood, but it enhances athletic performance. For all you runners or bikers out there, try eating a few raw cacao beans before and during your training or race and see what happens to your energy levels. Awesome stuff!
