If you are like me, you grew up spending many hot summer days finding creative ways to sneak another popsicle without your parents finding out. With LOADS of sugar and unwanted food colouring and additives, commercial popsicles are far from healthy and have been know to contribute to ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder).
What an exciting thing for a child to discover, making your own popsicles. The other day I did just that with my visiting niece and nephew. As a family we got into the kitchen and whipped up a batch of my Strawberry Hemp Popsicles. Not only are they free of processed sugars and food colourings, but they are a complete protein source and perfect for those hot summer days. Give them a try and beat the heat with some tasty, nutritious treats.
