One Thing Above All Else Saved My Life

There was a time in my life where my daily battles felt as if they were never going to end. Sleepless nights crying myself to bed wondering if things would ever get better. Its been quite the personal journey over the past 15 years lifting myself out of the depths of depression and anxiety and into a place of abundance.

Many of you have been following my work with Power of Food for much of this time and for that I thank you and am in deep gratitude. For those of you who are newer to the community, welcome and I am excited to share some very powerful energy with you.

You see, I have come to realize, thanks to my ever evolving daily practice, that energy is what has allowed me to first, heal myself and second, to manifest my wildest dreams. You see, I literally use a daily practice of engaging my energy in strategic ways to manifest my intentions. My bestselling book, my beautiful family, extra time to get outside and play at the sports I love, and building a successful corporate wellness consulting business have all come from using my energy strategically.

I want more than anything to share my practice with you, so you too can learn how to use your energy to live the life of your dreams. We only have one chance on earth, so why not go BIGGER, go HIGHER and LOVE DEEPER.

LOVE is at the core of my discoveries. Having known first hand what it felt like to verbally abuse myself, over and over again, LOVE was always available. I was a slave in a mind and body sabotaged by sugar addictions and stuffed with gluten. Once I got my blood sugar under control daily, my eyes began to open wider and wider and wider.

For too long my emotions where controlled by external forces I did not see. Having found a little space between how I was feeling and what actions I took next, thanks to better nutrition, I stumbled upon my path to self LOVE and this has translated into powerful manifestations.

Adam, how do I love myself when I am feeling so miserable about where my life, health, career, relationships are at?

Immediate Self Love Exercise

Your TOOL for this exercise is = Gratitude

Action Step: For the next 10 seconds, close your eyes and think of the one thing you are most grateful for right now. 10 seconds……GO!

That’s it. You were just in a state of self love. Easy right?

Feeling abundantly happy and healthy should be easy. Our habitual mind is often what holds us back from seeing the light.

Next Steps: Everyday for the next 7 days, while awake, stop every 60 minutes and think of the one thing you are most grateful for in the moment. Put a timer on your phone as the tool to help make this happen.

The key to growing self love (which eventually takes over the darkness to where there is no more room for self loathing) is bringing in daily sources of light that represent acts of love. Gratitude is a very powerful tool to help reveal your true energetic powers.

I often get asked by my personal coaching clients and followers… ‘If adding in daily gratitude makes me feel this good, what other tools can I bring into my daily practice to guide me even deeper and deeper into self love?

There are many, with nutrition being my most powerful tool along with gratitude, sitting in stillness, goal setting, music, sports, being in service to others and on and on and on.

Essentially, every act I take has the power to transform because every act is either an act of love or an act of punishment. With roughly 70,000 thoughts a day, that means you take about 70,000 actions a day. These actions are in direct relation to the emotional response of your thoughts.

Get It? If not, it’s okay, keep coming back for more and you will, I promise!

That’s it for today. Just remember, every act you take, right now and right now and right now, has the power of LOVE in it. Stop, notice your choice between love and punishment and then you will truly know what I am talking about.
