Check out my delicious and energy-giving recipe for FIG BITES!

Makes 12 bite size pieces

Ingredients

1 cup dried black mission figs (extra antioxidants in black mission figs)
¼ cup hemp seeds
¼ cup almonds
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon cacao powder
pinch of sea salt

How To Prepare

Place all your ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth. Once blended, place your batter onto a cutting board and roll into a large log.

Once rolled, place your log into the refrigerator for 20 minutes. Once chilled, cut your log into bite-sized pieced for an easy and quick energy snack as needed.

I take 1 with me for a run and nibble on it for extra energy as needed. I also carry 2-4 while on the road or when doing Power of Food media to make sure I am alert and ready for action. Store any leftovers in your refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 14 days.

By the way, kids love this one!

  1. Andrea Fowler says:

Where do you find your figs? Do they sell online? Cannot find in the stores around me. 🙁

  2. How does it work to blend the recipe without any liquid ? I’m really interested in using figs for a sweetener . Many bars use dates and I can’t have dates, so I thought I’d give figs a try. I also like just like sugar
