You have a Choice

At this moment you have a choice. This very choice leads you down two different paths. One is a path of enlightenment full of abundant health and happiness. The other leads you to a life of unwanted food cravings, moody emotions and a slow decaying mind and body.

Which do you want?

In my one hand I present to you a Tim Horton’s Timbit. With all its scrumptious decadence, full of sweet savory pleasure, your mouth watering as it awaits your first sensation of tingling sugar upon your taste buds.

In my other hand is a piece of 100% cacao chocolate, homemade from all plant based foods.

Which do you choose? The scrumptious Timbit or the plant based Chocolate?

For a very long time I chose the Timbit as many of you still do. It’s quick, easy, cheap and very pleasurable. As we take our first bite we receive a rush of serotonin that sends us into ecstasy, if only for a split second. That ecstasy is so good that we often decide to do it again and again. We reach for another bite, another timbit, another cookie, another muffin, another cracker, another piece of bread, another bowl of pasta and so on.

This instant pleasure is a false impulse and only leads to a rise in your cortisol levels (your stress hormone) which leads to your adrenal glands being over taxed, resulting in a increase in your carbohydrate cravings and eventually a crash of your entire metabolic system over and over again.

The power of choice is yours, as I discovered several years ago.

Now I choose to eat the 100% plant based chocolate. It is the silkiest, smoothest, most decadent piece of “amazingness” you will ever eat, full of life giving energy that supports your immune function, enhances your metabolic process and boosts your vitality with every single bite…AND it tastes unbelievable. From this chocolate I then choose other plant based foods over and over again.
How is it possible that plant based foods taste that good you may ask?

You will never know until your try. If you trust me…..and I know you do, all you need to do is begin adding more plant based foods into your life everyday. Do not eliminate anything from your diet, just add 1 or 2 plant based foods into everything you eat such as a tablespoon of hemp seeds and ground flax seeds and feel the power you gain when you begin controlling your blood sugar.

This is your starting point to understanding your ability to choose the path that leads you to abundant health and happiness. I know it sounds too simple, but it is the truth. Over the holidays try to add and do not eliminate.
