As you probably know by now – I like to spend a lot of time exercising outdoors, particularly climbing things. Like any of us who enjoy a good sweat, a cold drink is in order after a great workout. Water is always the right answer but I wanted touch on another favourite of mine – coconut water!

It’s no secret that most sports drinks are packed full of additives and preservatives. Finding a beverage that is healthy and will replenish your electrolytes can be a challenge. That’s where organic, unprocessed coconut water comes in; it’s full of vitamins, minerals and is an excellent source of electrolytes. Not only is it healthy but it is delicious as well.

Over the last few years, coconut water has become extremely popular and many different companies have jumped on the “coconut water” train. Unfortunately this means that some of your options for coconut water might not be as pure as you would hope. It’s important to read those labels and make you’re not just drinking another processed beverage.
